Hi, this is my 1st time posting, i have been a visitor for a while thou, love these chat forums, such good advice and tips.

Just want to say thanks to loungelizard, went to Boots today and brought a leappad for £6.25 , very happy, also brought the RD (bygof) products using the £5 voucher on the Looking Great leaflet, so saved myself lots of money.

    Its great. :T

£6.25 is an amazing price but with the Toys R Us one you get a back pack priced at 7.99 and two books priced at £11.99 each as well as the Leap Pad for a total price of £19.97. I have found the backpack invaluable for keeping the bits together although I have seen the same books in Asda for under a fiver. Even so it makes the Leap Pad almost free.
Hey there, TK Maxx have the leappad backpacks for £4.99 in pink and blue. They also have lots of the books for £4.99 as well.

ds1 was 3 in july & got his then - he can still do the activities in the books even though he is too young to be reading yet. he loves it - gets annoying after a bit tho when they press the same one over & over & over... ("little circle" in tutter's tiny trip is said in a particularly annoying voice!)

Got a pink one for my 9 month old! Well it'll keep!!!

Sister also got one but she got the normal one, out of the box they look exactly the same. Don't know why one is called Pink.

They came with different books though so you can swap with each other if you want.

Just trying to find cheap extra books at different shops, will try TK Maxx & Asda but anyone know where else they are still cheap??

Just got my daughter a pink one - she will be 3 in April. Was marked on the shelves as £24.99 so I asked. Bought the last pink one. When I checked the price of the blue ones, they were £12.50 - so I put it back.

    Thanks for this.
  • I went to Selby Place (Bond Street, large new store) in London today and no Learning system ones oh-hum! only My first leappad for 3-5 year olds in blue and that's £24.99! although it's on the "sale" shelf it's not reduced, I saw it before Christmas for exactly the same price despire the salesperson telling that "it's already been reduced!" I doubt it.
Anybody knows of the Boots stores in London that still have Learning System in whatever colour? Thanks.

Cardiff Queen Street Boots had "Leappad Pink" and normal "Leappad" yesterday (Thurs) on the first floor (don't look at the ones at the top of the escalator which comes up from the perfume side - go to the area where birthday cards and printer cartridges are). All marked at £12-something but the pink came up at £6.25 on till, not sure about the normal one, but I bet you could argue the toss at the till.
