I think you get access to the RTE player if you sign up for it, but someone please confirm.
    It may be a myth..
EDIT :the likes of the Panel and live GAA when it starts again)
  • As there is a download cap with the service offered, I'd be sure that your brother isn't going to use more than 6Gb per month. I don't see anything on the package about access to the RTE player from this side of the border either chunter.

You need an IP address registered in ROI or NI to access RTEplayer. BT assign a british IP address to their NI customers, therefore the content on RTE is limited. Some local ISPs may well assign NI IP addresses, such as UTV etc. If its RTE you want, then just check with the relevant ISP.

Also, 6GB is not a lot when you start using BBC and RTE players.
  • Anyway, back to Gaelic Telecom!

Have no knowledge of their service but do know that when you sign up to them, your local primary school is given commission every year. As a teacher we're glad of all the help we can get, especially after today's news.

Like so many 'affinity group' schemes, this one is unlikely to be the best deal for consumers unless they're happy for the true cost to be obscured by payments to favoured groups like school or GAA club.
