TBH- Littlewoods and all thier subsidurys are going mental at the moment sending these codes out to every email that they can get thier hands on - I really don't think there is much fear of abusing this code this time. As far as I understand you don't have to open a credit account with the others - only great universal but my advice would be to check the t&c's first. The main problem arises when the codes are used against other promos such as the 3for2 on toys they had a few days ago.
  • I'm hoping you could maybe clarify something for me. I ordered with Additions on 9/12 on 3 for 2 toys, it let everything go through and I used the £30 off code. My order clearly says £33.64, but theyve debited £63.64 from my account. After looking on some other website I understand they take the full amount then refund the £30 upon dispacth of the goods??? If I hadnt used the £30 code, the order total on the 3 for 2 would have equalled £61 not £63.64....and i guess im happy to still pay that if they dont reverse the £30 cos they are xmas presents for my daughter. Also they said they were in stock when i ordered however my account says awaiting stock. Ive rang them up but they were pretty useless tbh, she said she would arrange the refund but i wasnt convinced by her.

I am a new customer and never used additions direct, so could I use this code to pay by cc, even though it wasn't sent to me in person?

Seems odd that they send it to people who already are their customers, wouldn't that invalidate the code if they used it?

My mum sent me the code as I wasn't a customer and I ordered a TomTom at £100 from it using my Debit Card and it worked.

It shows the £30 discount when ordering and entering the code. I got an email receipt showing the normal price but when I logged into the site it showed the £30 discount refund was there.

I have received my item and they put £30 into my debit account and charged me £100 on the same day so it works. Funny way of doing it but it works.

    Hope this helps

It is so unfair that you have to open a credit account with them to get the discount. I guess they get the £30 back on the interest :(

Why? It's the whole point of offering the discount.

The discount is basically a worm on a hook, bait if you will, to get you to sign up an account. You can avoid interest by selecting interest free repayment periods, or paying up in one lump sum, thus often saving you the interest (ignoring the fact that their prices are often way higher than anyone elses of course).
