Hundreds of people used the code without having purchased the magazine, and even if people did the magazine many individuals did not just order one product (as stated in the terms and conditions) but 2, 3, 4 even up to 200! This led to our website crashing due to over 15,000 people trying to grab their free product or products just in the first 2 days.

Why do people have to be so greedy. So now a genuine More reader has lost out on this offer just because other people are too greedy with no intention to buy the magazine..

So if you can answer that question, maybe you can still get a free one. I've got a code for a free strawberry one but only it's only for if you order something else on the website too. It works though as I ordered a makeup book and got my free strawberry 1 so i'm happy xx

Everyone who's saying that people who ordered more than one blew everyone elses chances ; half of you didn't even buy the magazine,so you already blew someones chances that did.

I think that is a total load of rubbish. Simple reason is , if you google Free EYEKO Lip Balm then you get not only this thread , but every other forum talking about it, including Cosmos forum. And More Mag would have know this before they even made the offer it would happen. So why blame MSE? blame themselves for not making the offer more exclusive with a unique code printed in each magazine or even vouchers like newspapers do. They had X number of samples to give out, and would have been less than the total number of More Magazines printed. No Terms and conditions on the website that all of us that ordered would have seen and agreed to if there was any. So totally their screw up.
And the ordering is via the Eyeko suppliers website not More magazine's so another reason why that post is fake. Why didn't we all that ordered get a mail to say this? why just post it in MSE and not HOTUKDEALS, Cosmo and etc.??

And let's be completely honest here - neither More magazine nor Eyeko really give two hoots about who gets the freebies.

It's all done for publicity and free advertising - just look at how much free advertising they actually received from it being posted on forums!

People who would probably never have heard of the site ended up placing orders!

Yes, it's a shame for people who bought the magazine but the companies running the promotion got exactly what they wanted from it. Hence why it was so easily open to exploitation
