Barclays PPI mis-sold ?

Hi All,
Looking for some advice regarding PPI on a barclay loan.
I took out a loan with them last year and was advised in writing from them that PPI was not recommended!...however in the next paragraph they state I agreed to take out PPi (I definitely did not) and this was added to the loan and only just realised when shredding some old bank documents.
I have now complained to Barclays (no reply as yet)and wonder how I might stand under these circumstances ?.Can I reclaim the PPI ?.
This is my 3rd loan with them and in the previous 2 cases they also recommended not taking out PPI (I am disabled and in receipt of a Ministry of Defence war pension) and in these cases did not charge the PPI.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Sounds like you have a very strong case, particularly as your income is guaranteed and the critical illness cover may not apply given your disability.
I suggest you call them or go see them in Branch and ask for the PPI to be refunded.
If they refuse make a formal complaint in writing and say that if it is not refunded you will be writing to the ombudsman, your MP and the Daily mail!
Good luck.
