A mug with your LO's handprint on?
You can get them in woolies for £1, or morrisons for £1.50, the paint your own mug kits
Cheap and will be very sentimental. You could put the handprint on one side, permanent markers also work on the paint your own mug sets, as well as the paint so the other side, if you used a thin permanent marker, you could write the handprints poem?
My Handprints
Sometimes I might upset you
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
on furniture and walls.
But everyday I grow a bit
And soon I'll be so tall
That all those little fingerprints
Will be so hard to recall.
So here's a special handprint
Just so that you can say
This is how my fingers looked
When I placed them here today
I love this. Am stealing this for my 3.5 yr old to do for daddy. no thanks button sorry! There are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0 -
I'm glad you like the ideaIf my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!0

A different version of the handprint poem:
Ther used to be so many
Of the fingerprints you see
On furniture and the walls and things
From sticky, grubby me.
But if you stop and think awhile
You'll see i'm growing fast
These little moments disappear
You can't bring back the past.
So her is a small reminder
To keep, not throw away
Of tiny hands and how they looked
To make you smile someday.0 -

I think I have the above handprint poem in Welsh upstairs somewhere if anyone wants a bilingual one to do (obviously only likely to be the Welsh people). The Meithrin my daughter went to did hands in English and feet in Welsh (I think the poem was still handprints though)0
