!!!!!! - my daughter who is just 13 came in from school hysterical. The authorities sent a solicitor in to question her with no support for her whatsoever. She was just weeping saying she wants her sister home. I can't believe they can behave this way, they are the abusers.

Daughter calmed down now. The solicitor actually said to her "look on the bright side". She has the good grace to laugh about it now through her tears, but I am appalled. Sorry to sound off, but had the page open and just exploded when I saw the state of her. She was sent back to lessons hysterical, they didn't even call me to fetch her. At least she has great friends who walked her home. Don't know how much worse this can get........

can i ask you all a favour please we all love a bargain or two at the supermarket but another british tradition is under threat.
that is the pub. gorgon brown wants to introduce higher taxes on the pint next year
this will make sociable drinking more expensive and communities losing out when it gets too expensive to have a sociable drink at your local witb your mates and pubs having to close because of the higher costs
im asking you to lobby your mp just by filling out the website with your details otherwise there would be another nail in the coffin of our traditions

was there not a teacher there presant?
if not then its against the law for a under 18 without consent and without a over 18 as a l/gardian
