:eek: my mum has just called me at work - i left my hair straighteners on this morning and she has just gone into my room and smelt them - luckily nothing burnt (and she isn't going to say anything to my dad who is a retired fireman as he will go mad)

Afternoon everyone, will be a flying visit again as just got out of bed. I slept all afty again & was supposed to be playing an important badminton match tonight but there's just no way!!

I went to Tom's nativity this morning & spent an hour fighting the urge to pass out/throw up (not from his performance, I must add!)

PP - I can't believe your OH would be so selfish.
Make him feel crap for the next few days - and tell him it wasn't meant to be about him - it was about your little one!!

SFH - i am glad they are ok - they aren't GHD's but they are a decent pair that i won (hair tools the best ever can't remember the excact name)

Bella - i know that is only the 2nd time it has happened to me - i honestly thought i had switched them off and un plugged them buty i had un plugged my hair dryer!!!

Toniq - i know she is good - he would go back and i'd get a huge fire saftey lecture!!

PP, so sorry to hear that news and hope it doesn't spoil the build up to christmas for you all. Wonder what his problem REALLY is? (Apart from being male that is)!

KKK, have you got one of those fireproof mats for your straighteners? Mine was only a couple of ££ off ebay and it makes me feel so much safer and protects the furniture too.

Sorry for all you poorly peeps and hope you are well soon. At least you are getting it out of the way before christmas day.

Went to DD parents day at school today and despite all we have been going through she is still a straight A all round nice student, except for PE where we have agreed her ball dodging skills are the only thing in evidence. Oh well, she has to be like her mum in some way and I hated team games too! Found bodybuilding in my 20's so there is a sport for everyone, she just hasn't found hers yet. So proud of her.
