Curio furniture - Dublin Rd, Belfast ??

Options
Has anyone ever bought dining furniture from Curio on the Dublin Road in Belfast?

I want to get a chunky oak table with brown leather chairs and most of the tables I've seen elsewhere are an oiled finish but I really want to get a lacquered/varnished one. Curio have a table and chairs that I like and I wondered what the quality of their stuff is like compared to other shops.

Has anyone had any problems with their furniture?

  • I bought a thick top american oak table from curio over a year ago for over £1000, I see its now down to £650 in their sale. Its a beautiful table that gets used daily and it still looks like new! everyone comments on how striking it looks.
Before that I had a waxed/oiled table that I was a disaster, the slightest spill permanently marks the oiled tables! A Lacquer finish is very durable & maintenance free.

Hmm. I just discovered by accident (thanks to andrew-b), Curio's furniture is the same as the furniture sold by Pine Solutions. Same pictures, same dimensions.

However, Pine Solution's standard prices are cheaper than Curio's sale prices and ... wait for it ... they deliver to Northern Ireland for only £25 per order!!

To be fair pinesolutions are in Norwich 300miles away, no shop and a 6 week wait, where curio are local have a shop and you can collect for free same day. should something go wrong its easier sorting it out localy without having the cost / hassel of posting furniture back to England!
I was in curio on thurs evening & mentioned pinesolutions price on a hall table,
the woman said no problem they would match the price:j

Bought quite a bit from Curios in the past. No complaints at all and nice to deal with.
