On my way to becoming debt free :-)

Today was the day I have FINALLY did something and started throwing money at my debts.

It was my first proper payday of my brand new well paid job and I've now got the disposable income to pay of more than the minimum payment required for my bills.

I had my lightbulb moment some six months ago when I saw Martin on this morning and he recommended MSE but being lazy and not having hardly any money I wasn't really in a position but just to barely live!

But thanks to some great advice and lovely people on here I'm hoping to banish 12K worth of debt in about three years.....

My advice to anyone reading these posts who are in debt like me and are not doing anything about it......Get your head out of the sand!!!! Confront your problems because trying to get more debt to combine your old debts just won't work trust me I know! You may also seriously need to think more about your spending too.....do you really need that magazine or top which you will probably only wear once. I'm starting to do that now, it is hard buts somethings gotta give....!

Thanks for reading this. I feel good for writing it......

Seriously though good luck, im 2 months in to paying my debts off and its not easy at times, especially recently when ive been moved over to monthly pay (oh well at least i get a payrise) so i havent made my usuall payments, still coming on here takes my mind off that and gives me back motivation to finally get out of this mess
