NI Contributions 2006/07 tax year

I received a letter from Revenue and Customs saying that I didn't pay NI contributions for the full tax year 06/07, which is correct. I don't really need help with this but I'm interested to know what was the minimum amount of NI contributions that you had to pay in that tax year for it to count as a qualifying year for a basic state pension.
