First time mortgage after Bankruptcy, Is it possible?

Hello everyone,

Firstly I'd like to say thanks for all the advice I've picked up since I started lurking here about a month ago! :j

My questions is this.... Would it be possible to get a mortgage with my bank after I was made bankrupt 2 years ago? I was discharged from the bankruptcy a year ago, and have been with the same bank all the way through the process?

One advantage I would have is a large deposit, gifted to me by my Grandmother who recently passed away, here are the figures...

House price £96,000

Mortgage required £105,000 - Extra money for decoration & furniture.

Deposit £75,000

I am in full time work, (have been with the same employer for the last 5 years) and my current income is £15,000pa with very low outgoings (100 - 200 pm).

So would I be able to go to my bank and get a mortgage?

Thanks
