We used to have a portable dab/cd player, I think it was a Bush one but I haven't seen any of this type lately. They have a selection of micro system type ones here;

I bought one of these a few months ago and I'm really pleased with it. Sets the time automatically, can be used as a radio alarm, cd player included. All for £30 including p & p. I think they are reconditioned but mine was 'as new'.
You have to phone to order it as they are just a small company. (An Asian guy in Birmingham). It was delivered the following day with no hassle.

I've bought my bloke a DAB Radio CD Radio Alarm called the Chronos. It plays CDs, MP3s and has 4 alarms on it. It also comes with an idock instead of the CD player.
