I hope this is in the right sub-forum, apologies if I've done it again..
Welll, my partner is bankrupt as of a few days ago and he's going to lose the car, an 01' Ford Focus. The deal he's in is a bit perculiar in a way where he paid £5000 2 years ago and pays £160 for 3 years then they take the car back?? Anyway, due to the bankruptcy it's going this Friday despite my attempts to act as guarantor. The OR (Official Receiver had all ok'd it). So that's the background.
I have my eye on one of these 36 month Audi A3 deals for £199 I browsed upon a few days ago. I mean, £199!! When my partner was paying £160+tax+£5k deposit and now he gets nothing at all etc.
Please may I ask, is it really so straight forward for me to pick up another car? As in credit check, who do you work for, reference, sign here, here's your keys? £200 a month for a no-ties car is so affordable, sorry if I'm sounding rich, I'm just incredibly tight.
It makes me wonder if it is so straightforward when you see teenagers racing about in brand new 05's at every junction.
