  • Foot is fine max i stand by everything ive said on here
  • I havent been reckless may i add, ive actually been quite proactive and clever about things, its not my fault people lent me the money on the basis that they couldnt see this crash either... im sure your on here seeking advice for exactly the same reason or are you just going BR through no fault of your own - a true sob story were the world and his dog was against you??? behave the majority of you are exactly the same as me and instead of running up x amount on houses have run up smaller or larger debt on other things.... credit cards, loans weve all not been saints and have all run up or taken out credit that we now cant afford to pay back through one circumstance or another.

Will all those taking pot shots at Dannyboy please stop doing so. You are doing yourselves and the board no credit at all. He came here for some advice on how to deal with a potetial situation. Doing the right thing and trying to get advice before things got to out of hand and hoping to save his tennants. Yes, some of his posts have been a bit arrogant but some people came come across like that when scared. So please can every one wind thier necks in and get on with the business of being NON JUDGEMENTAL and giving straight and clear advice to help the OP with his situation, though now he has gone over to another board I cannot see what else we can help him with until he needs to ask more questions of us.

Pls remember Debt-Free Wannabee's for support and help not judgement

Speaking as a private landlord, I do find your comments a bit harsh, Max. Although we only let the house cos we moved area and can't afford to sell it! And it's the only house I own.

thats a bit different to the normal PL mate, I refer to the horrible landlords

  • Thanks Deedee, another genuine person with a IQ it seems
  • Once upon a time there wa a thing called "council houses"............... then came the evil idea of "right to buy"................................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz:p

the RTB scheme alone wasnt to blame, the problem was the cash off properties didnt go to the councils so they could build new welfare housing, it went to HMG central funds.

so councils lost stock, lost the capital and lost the tenants, so most created thier own in-house HA and GAVE all thier housing stock over for £1 per house, making it safe from tenants wishing to buy.

then along comes the BTL brigade looking to milk it....

    ....

And that came as a shock to you Max? im disapointed if you actually believed it would go back into welfare housing:p

  • Max can i ask a question, did you have any BTL's when you went BR... if not have you even thought or tried to better your income through investments, property, stock market, shares etc? Please answer truthfully.
