No - don't worry - it's lovely! It's similar to the one I wore a few weeks ago for my wedding (mine was a Marks and Spencer dress!) and it was just right for a civil ceremony.
I didn't have a veil (I'm an 'older' second time bride!) but had my hair done 'up' with some crystal pins put in that matched the detail of the dress, but if you like the idea of a veil, why not try one on with the dress - you will soon know if it's right or not.
Good luck for the wedding - ours was amazing!

  • I think it's lovely, but only you know how you feel in it.
I've had a panic about my dress, as when the shop did the alterations they weren't how I wanted it. Anyway, panic over and it's all ok now.
What I mean to say is that you want to feel happy with how you look, and if you have doubts, you're better to do something about them so you can just relax and enjoy your big day.
Get someone to take a photo of you in it with your hair done and your makeup on, then see what you think.

    Hope I've helped x

I'm worried about my dress because I ordered it and promptly got pregnant. The person who's making it is adding a whole lot of extra fabric, but there's no way of knowing how it's going to look until it's ready and I'm terrified of having to buy an emergency last minute maternity dress or waddle down the aisle in my dressing gown.
