Spoilsport......I was going to let her think that I recalled the date of everyone's first post as a party trick
And we'd all have believed it too! :rotfl::rotfl:Christmas bonus day today and I got a cheque for £1000 for which I am very grateful. Lots of places are not paying bonuses at all, so we are quite lucky. I did have a fleeting thought that I might buy myself something sparkly from the jewellers which has bouncers on the door........but I didn't even step inside for a look - went straight to the bank, and when it clears later in the week will pay it to egg.
Merry Christmas Egg.........
Still, it will be 20 boxes I can colour in on Thursday :T
Fabulous - well done - both getting it and putting it straight into debt busting! :T:T:T0 -
Good luck Hypno - I am quite new one MSE but already can see/feel the inspiration you give to everyone.
You can do it!!! :ADFW Nerd #11520 -
I will feel very very bad if I spend it on something else. The cheque clears on Thursday, so I have 3 days of trying to avoid bargain ski trips, the early January sales, and sparkly things in the jeweller's window.......
I did try and compromise......in a very DFW/MSE way. I have £10 M&S voucher from pigsback, so went and bought M&S ready prepared veg, and bloomin expensive potatoes, just because they are already peeled and in garlic and shallot butter, and some M&S sausages, that are twice the price of "butchers choice"......... So we can have an easy to prepare but sort of free dinner, and because it is from M&S we can pretend we are not poor

Surfbabe, I am not surprised you are feeling tired - you have been ill for a long time, and it takes time to recover. Plus, you are not exactly taking things easy during yuor illness, are you?????
I have just bought a big bag of haribo......I think it will help my coughSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Who me - take things easy :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I'm better at doing that than I used to be :T
and haribo  - have to say i don;t like them but I'm sure they are very very beneficial for coughs :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I'm working on the principle that if the haribo don't have the desired effect, then the peanut butter kitkat chunky that is next to me, might work instead.........:oSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Happy new diary Hypno! Well done on resisting the sparkly things when you got your bonus - you could always do those squares in glitter pen just so you get a bit of sparkle
