I will feel very very bad if I spend it on something else. The cheque clears on Thursday, so I have 3 days of trying to avoid bargain ski trips, the early January sales, and sparkly things in the jeweller's window.......

I did try and compromise......in a very DFW/MSE way. I have £10 M&S voucher from pigsback, so went and bought M&S ready prepared veg, and bloomin expensive potatoes, just because they are already peeled and in garlic and shallot butter, and some M&S sausages, that are twice the price of "butchers choice"......... So we can have an easy to prepare but sort of free dinner, and because it is from M&S we can pretend we are not poor :cool:

This is not just sausage and veg......this is MSE sausage and veg

Happy new diary Hypno! Well done on resisting the sparkly things when you got your bonus - you could always do those squares in glitter pen just so you get a bit of sparkle :rotfl:
