Anybody know where you can play Heroclix in Glasgow?

Apologies if this is not really a Moneysaving topic but in a roundabout way it might be - as the purchases of my sixteen year old son's last few years pocket money are sitting under his bed gathering dust at the moment.

Over the past couple of years he has spent a small fortune on these Superhero figures and until a few months ago he used to go to a shop in Ruthven Lane on a Sunday night to play games and also in a League which he really enjoyed.

Unfortunately the shop changed hands, then closed down and therefore no more games. His friends aren't really into the game so aren't really interested in trying to play it. I have tried playing a couple of times but to be honest I am pretty dumb and can't really pick up what I am meant to do and it is a bit to complicated for me (either that or he is just cheating me so he can win every time).

Anyway - as he has nobody to play the game with any more he is thinking of putting the whole lot on Ebay but I have told him that he probably will not get very much for them and definatley nowhere near the amount he paid back for them. He is a bit disappointed and would rather have somewhere to go or someone to play the game with.

So in order that he can get the use out of the superheroes does anybody know of anywhere or anyone who plays the game or where tournaments/leagues are held (preferably the North of Glasgow)

Sorry cant help as I dont have a scooby as to what the game is .....but I dont like to see posts on the Scotland board unansewered......I know I am sad!!

Here is a site on the web that has a discussion board related to games perhaps you could find some help on there??

Try A1 comics and ask in either of the stores mentioned, they should have more of an idea, you could also ask in Forbidden Planet on Buchannan Street.

I phoned A1 comics who gave me the number of their "sister" shop in the Argyle Market. The guy I spoke to there actually plays Heroclix himself at a Games Club in the Woodside Halls in Maryhill on a Tuesday night from 6.00 p.m. - 10.00 p.m. My son is delighted and is going to try it out.
