  • i know exactly how you are feeling, the advise you get from this website is brilliant i have only just joined and i had real bad debt problems basically i can not get anything, i was advised and would advise you if you need it that natwest are very understanding and will give most people a bank account. well lats put it this way if they will give me an account they will you.

Good luck, but stay away from barclys and halifax thats who got me into trouble, all they are interested in is your money and nothing else.
    ;)
  • Hi guys, just a wee update.

Have applied for a weekend job at sky to help supplement my income. I used to work there four years ago and left on good terms so fingers crossed! Feel much more positive now. It is going to be difficult to juggle work, college etc but needs must, at least i will feel like I am doing something rather than moaning about it.

Thanks for all your support this week.

natwest gave me and the wife an account and we owe over 41k. now being sorted with help of payplan
  • Davek1,

what do you think of payplan - do you think they would be able to help me?

I heard their debt management plans are good? The only thing that worries me is that you are left with nothing at the end of the month to live on - or am I have a major misconception.

Hi bumblebee- you might find a site online which can give you cheaper quotes for your car such as confused. com and elephant.com. I also found that it was worth doublechecking on the insurers own site to get an even cheaper quote. Mine was reduced by about £100. Even if it is not yet up for renewal you could always look to see if it would be cheaper. Good luck- it sounds as tho` you have done a lot already!
  • Thanks Jan got my quote from confused.com last year but am always looking for other websites so will have a look on elephant too! We will get there eh?
