    No, not really. The printing press hadn't been invented in the Middle Ages, photography didn't exist, almost no-one could read or write, and portrait painting was not common either. We don't even know what a lot of medieval Kings and Queens looked like.

    So, nothing to do with the Middle Ages, really.

    Apart from the HOUSE PRICE CRASH after the Black Death epidemic started in 1349.

    I didn't mean the printing side of things was middle-age like, I was referring to the somewhat barbaric attitude that some people take - an attitude akin to the middle-ages man. I wasn't making an exact historical analogy...

    Evidently there was a serious house price crash, but I believe it was more 1352 rather than 49 :p
