My Britannia High coupons were quite blurred and had to be keyed in as they wouldn't scan, even with the hand held scanner.

I looked at the Express today, and it was very confusing (inside) The Christmas pack offer was not as described on the link above, and the directions for ordering it were combined with an offer for some CDs. The prices listed were:

£4.99/CD, including P&P or something like £15.99 for the whole set, with Christmas pack, plus £1.99 P&P. There was a form to fill out for the CDs, but for the pack you just had to send a letter. There was no listing of P&P for the pack only.

It was never acceptable at Tesco anyway, it did scan though so some people just carried on using it until Tesco blocked it. Thank goodness for that, one less duff coupon to nail down the lid on the coffin of couponing.

As per previous poster, these usually do scan in Tesco the first Sat and Sun they become available. Each one has a different barcode and it usually takes Tesco til Mon or Tues to catch up and actually put a block on this through their tills, so you might be able to use still tomorrow.

Sorry coupon mad, but it's a bit like RnR and I think we need to enjoy it while it lasts, we can't control what thousands of people do, and I take your point, but can't agree, so I shall be using mine tomorrow, hopefully.

I'm sure Tesco will stop the use of coupons sometime or the manufacturers will get peed off with them taking coupons for anything and find another route for promoting their goods, but it will stop regardless of whether I use these coupons there.

Don't want to enter a debate, but that really is immoral. Dont care about if it scans, bleeps or even if its legal (which it isnt for all coupons :P).

Seriously you know tesco will not get the cash back? So whats the difference between hiding 4 pounds worth of items in your trolley and giving this coupon? Other than the impetus is on the SA to accept it? Both result in same way... you get 4 quid of items.. and tesco doesn't get paid.

I beg to differ. RnR was complying with Tesco's own policy. Using non-acceptable coupons is not and these are just the sort of coupons that will bring about the end of the coupon policy. Don't bury your head in the sand and think they won't notice, all unredeemable coupons get returned to the store unpaid you know, like bounced cheques only much more common thanks to scammers thinking they've got away with it!

Please don't encourage people to use coupons 'because they scan'. Do you use ones from the Somerfield & Sainsburys magazine in Tesco as well?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry, but that's the point I was trying to make - what a few of us say on here ain't gonna make any difference - the coupon policy will end sooner or later anyway

SA's in Tesco no longer take Somerfield & Sainsbury's coupons - they seem to have been trained fine on that one, they just can't grasp the Daily Mail one - my heart bleeds!
