    Hi Karen,
The lady in front of me in the queue used the £5 voucher and got the 25% off as well. I guess this may be assistant dependent as they don't always seem to like giving 2 discounts, but it's definitely worth a try :)

Anyone know if you can use the Daily Mail £5 MOC when you get 25% off?
  • They just sent me this code if it is any use to anyone. Hope it works here is info

Customers receive 25% OFF their order excluding delivery. To be eligible
for the offer customers must quote reference code XBX8 in the
promotional code box at the website check out page. Thorntons cannot be
held liable for not discounting orders if the correct code is not given.
An order is one delivery to one mainland UK address. Offer is applicable
to one order only. Saturday deliveries are sent through the Royal Mail's
standard service. Offer is open to UK residents only. Offer is available
to online customers of Thorntons Direct only. Discount valid from Monday
8th December to Friday 26th December and cannot be used in conjunction
with any other offer. There is no cash equivalent to this offer. The
last order date for pre-Christmas delivery at Thorntons.co.uk is 4pm on
    Monday 22nd December 2008.
  • Beware all money savers who are thinking of ordering thorntons chocolates. The chocolate codes that you are sent could have a very short shelf life like the ones that I have received from them today.
My 3 large boxes of chocolates that were sent to me have the date of Feb 09 on them, I am not happy at all  I do not like the taste of foosty (rotten tasting) chocolates and neither do my friends. Helpful advice would be appreciated
  • eat them before February!:rotfl: :rotfl:

In Scotland 'Foosty' is a commonly used word, lol. It means dusty or mouldy (or general grossness ... socks can be 'foosty').
