I got six packs of butter to put in the freezer and another two for some baking this weekend and general use. I cut it into 2oz blocks before I freeze it btw. Cheaper than Stork for baking!

I don't much fancy any eggs that cost 50p for six but I did get a weeks worth of milk and a loaf of bread for the freezer, to make melba toast for Christmas.

This has been a good deal, one of these quiet ones that actually saves you quite a bit once you add it up. I hope Tesco run a few more like it.

  • Picked up 4 of the milk and 12 of the butter (to share among family). They'd no butter on the shelf but an assistant brought out a new box when I asked if they had any.

Had a hunt for some butter but couldn't find any. Was going to do some baking with it. Never mind.

    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!
