So if a company decide to outsource a department e.g. warehouse/delivery, where does this leave the original employees? I'd have thought that was covered under TUPE, but the company in question are making people redundant,

Covered by TUPE as I understand it but that doesn't mean there can't be redundancies.0

Unless it's in the same building, on the dole. MFI outsourced their warehousing and distribution to DHL and the drivers were given the option of working for DHL or redundancy. As it was all transferred to a new DHL warehouse with their own fleet, it wasn't done under TUPE as it wasn't a take over - it was basically done to save DHL recruiting. So if a company decide to outsource a department e.g. warehouse/delivery, where does this leave the original employees?
