Hello all,
not sure where to start, but as you can see from my signature I owe a fair bit! However, having had my lightbulb moment plans are now in place. Hidden behind those sums are a number of years of denial and lies, denial as I could not/would not see the problem. Lies because I hid it all from my family, untill finally it all caught up with me. My partner has been amazing and has helped me (mentaly and in practical ways), and from 17th December the work to become debt free starts. Having spoken directly too all of my creditors finally, £500 per month will be being cleared off this total.

Hello and welcome. any chance you could post a statement of affairs using makesenseofcards (another website). You list all your income, outgoings, assets and liabilities and then you reformat it for mse and post it here. I did that, and since then I have literally transformed some of my spending habits making the shift from over-spending by up to £1K a month to paying off £1k per month...
Whatever your numbers, getting some feedback can make a real difference.
You can also use the snowball calculator at whatsthecost to work out which debts to pay off first to keep interest charges to a minimum. It also then calculates a debt free date based on how much you have available to repay a month and the aprs as you input them....
Some people also use a spendingdiary on another website as a way of keeping on top of their spending.
HTH you get started.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks for the comments, I will transfer all the workings out across for all to see. In some ways I am fortunate in that I am no longer hit by interest charges, all my debts are with collection agencies. Which of course is also unfortunate as its a measure of how out of control/touch I was.0
