hey godspeed, ive seen this 40GB mp3, alot i mean alot of musics of mine can fit in there, i can easily go argos and buy it but wats the different from this one to other mp3s which are around the same price but less memory? is there a bad side to it than the fact it doesnt look very nice?0

By all accounts..... It's a brick, but apart from that.
I found this "review" on the net.....
I bought this from Argos early november for £99.99 and added a pack of AA batteries for my camera to take the order over £100 to qualify for the £10 argos voucher - so total cost £89.99.
I took the risk because it was Argos who are very good about returns/refunds.
There is no software installation for XP because it was made for XP - just plug it in and it works.
It is USB 2.0 and also works on USB 1.1 ports although XP warns that it will not work at full speed using USB 1.1.
The included software (USB driver for W98) is for older Operating systems only.
I use it both as a media player and portable DATA drive.
AUDIO FORMATS
MP3,WMA,WMA-DRM with mediaplayer 10 (I suspect few students will want to use DRM) and I discovered it will play LAME MP3 as well.
POWER
Built in rechageable Lithium
Initial charge time : 12 hrs
Subsequent charge time whe battery drained completely : 3.5 hrs
Can play while recharging.
playback time with full charge : 10-12 hrs
RECORDING (WAV format) - I dont use this but tested it anyway - recording mode is set first.
MODES
Built in mike
Line in - utilises the headphone socket for recording
BAD POINTS
Doesnt play AAC or OGG VORBIS
Included earphones - barely adequate - a cheap pair of proper Headphones from asda delivers much better quality sound and really good Bass.
No remote control - I can live with this - you might not.
Size - Worst point - Its about the size of the smallest portable cassette player I can remember.(It fits a trouser pocket - but you might have probs with tight denim jeans)
GOOD POINTS
Great Sound
Great Battery life
Great Price
Great Capacity 40gb
Almost instant jump to next track when played in album order.
Displays MP3 IDTAG info(when present)
All in all I'm quite happy with this product and I wont be returning it to Argos. (Despite the size of it)The MSE Dictionary

Rip Off - Clearly written Terms and Conditions.

Are you sure shipping to Uk is $24?? I've just checked the shipping on a simple audio cable and it's stating $65 fed ex, UPS (worldwide) $61, USPS $20. Are all these shipping methods available to the UK then??0

Thanks Tojo Ralph, that helped, couldnt be bothered to read it on argos for osme reason, anyways ur explanation was good n the fact that you got one is a bonuse as well, i mite and go and buy it this week some time. Im not that up to date with these mp3's but tell me isnt this very similar to Ipod and those other mp3s, im talkin about music qulaity, transfere of music between computer and mp3 etc etc not the looks, size..thats doesnt matter. As long as it plays music and can be transferred from computer to the MP3 im happpy. Thanks again Tojo Ralph.0

hey DEVIL, you should buy the one from argos its better, doesnt look very good though.0

I'm not looking at buying an MP3 player. It's just when I clicked on the link I scanned the site and noted it was selling a cable that I need, just didn't fancy paying a fortune in p&p that's all.0

Depends when/where you want to use it - if it was stuck on my desk at work, I could manage the extra few grams there and back. If you want to wear it when exercising, you'd be better off with a solid-state one anyway.0
