What time does a reservation expire?

Hope someone can help!
I reserved some items at local argos but have been unable to get to store (or contact them by phone!) to collect and pay. Reservation said will hold till today but what time will it expire so that can be re-reserved?

Is out of stock everywhere and I don't want someone else nabbing my bargain!:eek:

Am hoping is close of store but if midnight then looks like I have lost it!! Can't get to a computer at that time!

Actually I have found sometimes reservations expire once the store has closed?

reservations are cancelled when whoever is locking up shuts down the computer system, so this will be whatever time your local store closes for the night, give or take 20 minutes.

if you cant get to a computer, why not reserve by phone or by text?

yeah try re reserving the items about 20mins after the store closes

I have tried reserving online after store closed but showing as out of stock!
Then I tried ring and reserve but still out of stock BUT I tried another store (fairly local) in hope that I may be able to get there tomorrow and they have it !

Will let u know how I got on - last time I reserved something that was reduced price at Argos, half of stuff was missing and had to get refunded! Fingers crossed that this time it is all there!

I actually asked about this instore and was told midnight. I wonder if different areas/stores have different ways of working?

I have always had to wait until midnight to re-reserve which backs up what I was told by manager.

I suspect if you tried again after midnight the item would be in stock again bigmuffins as that is indeed when your reservation expired.

Hope you get whatever it was you were after though.

Had the same problem myself today. Couldn't get in to Argos because youngest is ill. Have been able to reserve everything again about half hour after shop closing. Everything was previously showing out of stock.

Useful for future reference.
