90% Plus Mortgages

Hi everyone
Sorry if this is not the correct place to post this question, but I wondered if anyone out there may be able to help me.
My husband and I are selling our current house and have one in mind that we wish to purchase. Unfortunately if we puchase the house we want and included all the usual (fees etc), we need a mortgage that is higher than 90% LTV (but not by much - probably about 93%-95% at most).
My question is - does anyone happen to know where we may be able to find such a mortgage? I have heard that most banks don't offer this, and this is what we have found so far, but I wondered if there are any companies out there that do offer these kinds of mortgages.
Thanks in advance for any help.

you'll have to do a lot of hunting around, you may well get a 95% mortgage but it won't be at a great rate."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".
!!!!!! is all that about?0 -
halifax are still doing 95% mortgages but they are the only lenders i know of doing this kind of percentage.0

The only 95% deals I know of are FTB deals from Bank of Ireland and Bristol and West. Both are FTB products, requiring parents to act as guarantors. Also - both have interest rates around the 6.5% mark.
You never know though, might be worth giving them a call to see if they can do something for you...0 -
Can't you negotiate down the price of the house you are buying by 5-10%?poppy100
