an extra £500 pcm ?

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas of earning approx. £500 a month from home. I am working full time but have tution fees (as am studying with the OU too) to pay as well as debt repayments. An extra £500 - ish would help me cut down my debt and relieve me of some worry !

Thanks

You might also like to look at the problem from the other side and see if you can cut your outgoings? If so, try out the new and improved SOA calculator and see if you can help us help you :D
  • I have cut down in all ways possible. Have even cancelled Christmas and so shall spend it on my own and might meet friends if they are around.
All I seem to do is work , study and try to sleep. Not much of a life !

    Hi,

Cheak out the onepoll. thay are a servay site that pay you to do there servays.
    Also lightspeed servays and yougov.
Thay all pay. thay dont pay a lot and you have to wait for the money to build up to a limit before thay pay you out. but evry little helps and you can always use the money of them for a little treat for yourself.

Also take a look at quidco. thay are a good chash back site. by useing the to renew your house insurance you can get up to £70 back. thay also do money back on your super market shoping to.

I hope that this helps you a bit.
    Good luck
and hang in there and stick at it one day it will all be worth all this hard work that you are putting in

    All the very best

surveys are a very painful way to may be making a few pennies a year.

I see you have already discovered the GIOL board, am-smiling - - read the introductory guide on there, and you should be able to clear your overdraft in 6-12 months. You might not make £500 in your first month, or every month, but at least you stand a fair chance to make some real and substantial money.

Hi - I've really benefitted from the GIOL board too. I also find a lot of inspiration in the £10 a day challenge thread and am signed up to loads of cash back sites. I tried to do surveys but too much like hard work. My biggest gains have been changing my childcare arrangements and asking for and getting a pay rise at work...

    Good luck!

Are your OU studies related to your job? If so, could your employer help out with fees and/or related expenses? This could free up some cash for debts.

The OU can also help out financially though I can't remember the details. I'm sure they've made it easier for more people to be able to get help.

I'm lucky that my employer has paid for many of my OU courses.

    Good luck.

  • Are you entitled to any grants- may be worth talking to student finanance/support see if they can signpost you

  • Thanks all.
My OU course is not directly related to work - in fact am over - qualified as it is and would be more so if I finish my course. Work are not at all interested in my career - development and so don't even want to know about it !
Am paying in monthly instalments but even so, I had overdraft and credit card debts already.
I have looked at the GIOL board but not read it through - am trying to gather the guts to try it. Would love to get a few hundred a month.

Trying to see light at the end of the tunnel.
