i've paid about £1000 this year (i only found this site a few months ago)

I have been looking back over the last couple of years' threads and
in 2006 the total was £1,580,831.05 see here:

It's my first day here but have been lurking for a long time and been in debt since I was a teenager (i'm nearly 40 now) but this year I've really made an effort and seen the results.
Have cleared about £6k which makes the team total

With the help of this site and the helping folks on here, we managed to clear all our debt this year £5800.00! Whoooohoooo!

Hi everybody, I have managed to clear £860 this year, not as much as everybody else's, doesn't sound like a lot but it was hard going!! I am so sick of debts

Or though I have paid over £4 in off, with new debts throughout the year it balances out as a mere £745.26 that I have paid off (I WILL DO BETTER NEXT YEAR WITH NO NEW DEBT)

i have cleared about £2000 in debt,
and transferred £1500 to a 0% virgin card, which i never knew about such things before reading this site!!!
and have got loads of inspiration and tips from here on how to sav money, budget and clear debts, so all round without this site think i would still be at square one!!
