Nigella's all-purpose cooking pot

Does anyone own one of these pots, and if so how does it perform?

Sorry, Thriftlady, never even seen one before, looks like something from an alien landing. What about looking on www.amazon.co.uk for reviews, or typing "Nigella all purpose pot reviews" into Google, and seeing what comes up?

Thanks Savingforoz, I've already looked at all the available reviews on amazon (co.uk and com). They're pretty mixed.

Basically it is a steamer on top of a pan. you can cook pasta, rice, soup, stews etc in the bottom and steam things over the top. It is based on a North African couscousiere -the stew would simmer under the couscous. It is quite big and very expensive, and no I don't need one:D

That would be my thoughts as well, Thriftlady, it's very expensive, and everything you could do in it, you could do with a steamer, slow cooker, good saucepan etc. £85???!!!

Yeah, but Amazon have a 'like new' one for £59.99, and their full price is £70- something.

Someone might buy me one for xmas:o

    Sorry for the language, but.

    F ME 85 quid!

You can buy a decent pan set and a steamer for less than that!

Thank you for your advice, I was really asking how the pot performs not whether it was cheap or not. I'm well aware that it is expensive which is why I wanted to know if it was any good.
