Boffer buyers beware

I have been a lurker here for many years and always valued you guys with your ability to hunt out bargains. But I would like share my experience with you all as you are clearly not allowed to do this on their site.
Bought swisscard which where fakes and they passed the buck to the supplier.
Freebies even though I had them won yet to receive any.
Items I have bought take weeks to deliver, excuse we have so many customers to deal with. No you have my money so that is not a reasonable excuse.
And as for their so could competitions seems to me like it is always won by moderators and not actual members. This leads me to believe the moderators are in actual fact staff and not the so could members they lead us to think.
I for one will not be back on that site and would urge others to proceed with caution also, they are about to have another sell off tomorrow, so I would say if your looking for presents save your money and buy elsewhere as it may not get delivered in time and if its broken like many of my items have been there is no way they can resolve this before Christmas.

Never had a problem myself. Thanks for the warning, but I will continue to use them.0

Why do you keep saying "So could"? I think you mean "So called"
Anyway, aside from the slightly dubious quality of a few of their items (especially in the freeboff) I have had no problems with them, I usually get my items within a week or two..pretty standard. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
If you look here - LINK many others had problems with the swisscards. You must not have contacted boffer because everyone else who did (myself included) received an apology and a full refund as the wrong photo was put on the site. Maybe it would be worth contacting them now?
As for the freebies, mine have always arrived and im not a moderator. In fact ive never bothered with the forums.
Similarly though, others are not boffer fans either, so you wont be alone in these thoughts. I just felt the need to say that boffer did admit their mistake with the 'swisscards'OnePoll - £12.40, Yougov - £1.00, VO - £24.25, youdoo miles - 24292, MHF - £0.00
Not much, but its a start :rotfl:
Helpful?? Moi?? Hook me up

Sounds like sour grapes to me from one of these 'OMG, they mean we have to pay P&P on some tat that I don't want to buy - NOT FAIR stamps foot'.
If they are dodgy then trading standards will shut them down, report them to the proper channels if you have a problem with them.
If the swisscards were fake, report them to trading standards and send the item back for a refund (distance selling regs).
If the freebies haven't turned up, again claim for a refund of P&P - if you didn't pay P&P, then you haven't actually lost anything have you?
If the items take too long to arrive, again reclaim your money.
If you are genuine thank you for the advice, but there do seem to be many many many people whom are very happy with them, getting what they expect - not an Apple Book for 2p, but some cheap and fun items for low cost, or good electronic deals.Do not feed the trolls please.0 -
i've only ordered 2 things but not had any problems. both received within a week & just as advertised.
shame you've had problems, but the no. of orders they do, i'm sure it would be the same anywhere.
there's always lots of posts from members about their great CS so i'm surprised you weren't able to get things sorted out.
wherever 'bargains' & 'freebies' are advertised it's always up to the customer to be wary & weigh up just how great that 'bargain' may be...0 -
i have never had a problem with boffer
everything i have ordered has been spot on and i would recommend them
you can chat to boffer on the following forum
which is also a good place to find other bargains

Not a fan myself to be honest. Got the impression of dealing with a bunch of 'Del-Boys'.0

i too have spent time lurking here and there i think i found boffer through this site
i have to admit boffer is really starting to try my patience
my very first purchase never arrived so after a while waitin for tickets to be answered i got a refund
thought to myself these things happen lets give it a second chance
the next few orders were fine
then bang more broke items, things not arriving then a message to say the didnt have what i ordered
these were all ticketed too but got fed up waitin for replies
i also bought the swiss cards and yes ok i did get me money back but i still had to find replacement prezzies and i thought id found the perfect gift
i even tried to phone thinkin that might help me get answers but no the number they say they have does not exist
as for the mod who won the comp i thought it was a bit suspicious myself but by the looks of the video she made she could have made more than the £500 prize money in soho
i used to visit the forums too sometimes altho i found them good at the time tend to stay away now there are more ourageous outbursts these days than on eastenders
i feel it has lost its freindly atmosphere that i enjoyed hell even made a freind or 2 at one time
now u are subject to over modding and uncalled for post moves (conveniently made by the comp winning floozie most of the time)
i havnt had any better luck with their sister site big pockets either same crap same staff just different name
so itend to agree if u want hassle free bargains on the internet stay clear of boffer0 -
I have always avoided them, they seem to be run from a beat up yellow Reliant Van.;)0

They give a full refund if anything is returned. What is the problem? A lot of what they sell is tat, but that's because the prices are so cheap! People should stop moaning IMHO!
