Banking / being paid abroad

Hello!

I am new to the forum although I have been using the mse site for a while now.

I would love some help and advice. My husband and I are going travelling for a year and are planning on trying to get work abroad. Hopefully we will get some work in our professional fields for short periods in various locations and not just get cash in had fruit picking etc. So my concern is, if I get paid into my Alliance and Leicester current account I will lose money when it is exchanged into my account and again when I draw it out. Is there anyway to avoid this that doesnt involve opening bank accounts all over the world?

Any advice / websites / etc gratefully recieved!

Thanks for reading.
