6+ months unemployed (a drag..), going to the jobclub, where someone mentioned you could get help with a suit/jaket, should you need one for an interview.
my old work suit is too small now, and was a bit tatty anyway.. anyone know the procedure/conditions for said grant (or is it a loan?)
do i need to buy a suit, then claim the cost back? or is it a voucher thing..?

Whoever is running your Jobclub should be able to help you (the Jobcentre off-loaded onto these contractors, so they hold the budgets); I am sure that if you asked your JC Advisor that's where they would point you.
You should get a voucher to spend in Arcadia shops (so I think that would be Burton's for man's stuff....) - should be for a suit and shirt and possibly shoes. When you go shopping for them, make sure you try on as there are no returns or refunds (as of course all unemployed out to make a quick buck....? ).Blonde: Unemployed: Bankrupt.
What do I know?

Whether you get a grant is at the discretion of the adviser - it is not an absolute right for everyone who claims JSA.0

Take it your claim JSA for 6+months? If so you may be entitled to help with interview clothes its called ADF.
You have to have proof of any interview 1st though & its paid by voucher/invoice, doesn't matter wat you call it you adviser would give you the paper work so no money changes hands.
