:j Yeay!!! Got my student grant in and loan today - £2400!!!Woohoo!!!
Paid off my Capital One and B/Card in total!!! and popped them in water and then into the freezer(doesn't hurt them does it??)
Still got over £1000 left to pay for childcare for the semester and spending money for my uni field trip to Prague, and I can live off my CTC (£117/week) and maintenance if I keep within my budget.
First time in 2 years that I've had zero balances on my C/Cards and I'm going to try and keep it that way for good. Just keep them incase the washing machine goes bang or some other dire emergency crops up - lol. Then hopefully my next lot of loan/grant money comes in I can keep it all - well IngDirect can look after it for me anyway.

Congratulations & Well Done
it's feels better when you don't owe any money out, at one point I owed £1,500 (may not sound much too some people) on my credit card and I hated it and was using my overdaft to buy things before I got paid so when my wages came in the paid my overdraft off so I was going round in circles. The best thing that happened to me was I got glandular fever and got signed off work for 3 months and luckily I had taken the payment protection ploicy on my credit card so they started to pay my balance off and also I was on full sick pay and being quite ill I did not spend anything so this helped me clear my debts.
I owe £500 on my credit card at the moment but I have the money in my current account but I am leaving it their to gain interest and pay the balance off on the last day.
I don't fancy getting into debt if I can help it as it is far too easy and the banks are too generous by giving big spending limits and overdrafts0 -
Congratulations, great feeling seeing that nil balance.
Nice one
