OH and I just have dinner at home with the furrys. It took MIL a while to accept we could have our own family Christmas even though we don't have any we'ans.

  • We are going to NYC this year for Xmas and last year we went to Tenerife. It was class and because we booked a holiday we then started to save up so we actually were better of than we had been any other Xmas when we just spent the December wage packet. Plus Tenerife was much cheaper than here to eat out and drink, no having to get taxis, it was lovely 25 degrees, relaxing. Having a drink in an outside cafe and watching all the Xmas soaps. The holiday was £303 half board each.

And I booked NYC nearly a year ago, so again we have saved up so we will be using that instead of the wages. We got a phone call on Thursday telling us on the first day of our holiday a Big Apple Greeter is coming to meet us and show us round our area and how to use the Subway, even better this is a free service!! Very excited now.

I didn't miss the Xmas at home biz at all, we have some very spoilt small relatives and I did not miss having to listen to their parents inform us in massive detail how much had been spent on them!!
