Just a quick question, card through door should we ring?

We have today had a card put through the door which I am assuming is from a debt-collection agency
It is only addresses to the occupier no name. We havn't lived there long, are sure it's not for us and are still getting some post for the previous owner
Should we ring or ignore? If they are looking for someone other than us would it be better to ring now to let them know they no longer live here or would we be opening up a can of worms?

Hi
Do not phone. if it is anything really important, they will write properly and tell you what it is about.
if you phone they will be very unpleasant, pretty much insist that you pay, even if it is not your debt, and you will make yourselves an ideal target for repeated phone calls. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Eeek!! That's quite worrying lol!
I should've said that the note was handwritten so someone has obviously been to the house knocked then posted it through:eek:
Does this make a difference or should we still ignore and see if they come again?
Thank you for taking time to reply0 -

If it is a DCa, then a debt collector arriving at a door has all the official power...... of the paperboy.
Is there a written address on the card?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
