Hi all
Just found this place & found this offer so thought it may be of use to someone here (bound to be the odd fish keeper here)
Lidl are selling 3 useful aquarium products as of today 9/1/06
1. Grabber claw for £3.99 (usually about £10 elsewhere)
2. Cleaning Magnet large £2.99 (ditto)
3. Automatic fish food dispenser £4.99 (usually up to £25 for other models)
HTH

I havn't kept fish for a few years now but buying the aquarium is only the first step. W will need a filter and pump, lighting and a good supply of the burrowing type of snails. I used to find that, providing you do not overstock with fish, after a reasonable time the water will get into balance and you will not have to clean the water/glass for a long time.
Technology has moved on a great deal since I last kept them so possibly more updated advice will be available. Whatever you do first read up with a couple of good books.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Best bet if you decide to start fish keeping is to join a fish/reef keeping forum (similar to this one).
First decide on what you want to keep IE Cold water/tropicals/Malawi's/marines etc etc then find a specific forum for that kind of livestock.
Also best as mentioned to get a few good 'up to date' books a read read read, as knowing first will save you cash & livestock/upset in the long run.
[ sorry off topic a bit I know ]0 -
Maybe a dumb question, but may I ask why this post/thread has been moved?, as with lidl's deals being weekly & the best thing's usually gone in 24hrs I would have considered the original forum to be the correct one (Grab it now)??.
Sorry if i have missed something, but I have read the stickies first.
