My cardigans arrived today..........and I hate them. I am most definitely not a 'tassely' kind of person (but I didn't know that until now, lol).

However......a few unpicked tassles later and I now have a bald straight edged cardi....which I'm very happy with, especially considering how little it cost. :D Will do cardi number 2 and 3 later, lol.

Be careful with the hooks too-I've caught it in the cardigan twice while putting it on. Don't want to scag the wool and pull it out.

My beige one had a small hole in the back too. Looks like a stitch was dropped, or maybe a thinner bit of wool has broken away. Think my mum can mend it though. For that price, I don't mind if it shows a bit. Doubt I'll find one in my size in the shops to exchange it for, but I'll keep an eye out when I'm shopping on Friday.

aliasojo-how easy is it to remove the tassles? I might do that on the cuffs as they will probably annoy me after a while. Does it look obvious-like there are holes-IYSWIM?

  • I've also taken the tassles off the sleeves (but left the rest) and now I really like it. I hope it doesn't get too much bigger in the wash as its already too big for me.

It's very easy, you just pull the loop part and it all just comes apart.

You are left with a small buttonhole type hole..... but, 1) you can hardly see it, 2) it's repeated all over so looks like it was a 'meant' pattern iyswim and 3) I think they will look even less noticeable after it's 1st wash tbh.

I had a rug with similar tassles and I put it on a gentle machine wash and they all fell out in the wash anyway. I've probably just done a pre-emptive strike.
