I've been with this place for ages and thought i would try my hand at writing reviews and it is driving me mad. My first few posts were crap to be honest but then i wrote a review on Charmed i put
'This is about 3 sisters (Prue, Piper and Pheobe) who lost their mother when they were younger. There Grams brought them up. One day many years after Grams dies Pheobe discovers a magic book in the attic and read aloud the first spell. Little does she know what exactly she has done.
She allows the sisters to get their powers (which their grams had binded to protect them till they were old enough to fully understand witchcraft.)
Prue has the ability to move things, Piper has the ability to freeze time and Pheobe gets premonitions.
This follows the sisters as they meet all different demons, fights the leaders of the underworld, save innocents and still try to lead normal lives.
As you can probably tell i love Charmed. And it gets better with every new season. Highly Recommended. '
And so i wait to see what people thought of my review.
I get these
getting better
Have a read around on the site to see how other people write their reviews. Soundsexciting
I'm afraid there is more info. i need to know, i shall be more than happy to re-rate(-: darkangelwing
Needs a lot more info on the program to be helpful. em x
What else could i seriously put???? Please somone help as this is driving me mad.Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.0 -
Thank for the feedback. I'm going to leave the money in a bit longer and hope it builds up so I can deposit in my £500 seperate pot, through saving on anything.
Regarding the members who say they don't get surveys because they don't fall into the catergory, I get round this by telling a little white lie and saying I am my wife etc.
Not right but I am sure it goes on.0 -

What they want is your review, not simply a run down of the show.
What I try to do is write what you have written as a first section, then go on to mention the main cast members and what I think of thier performances, whether they are good in the role.
Next, dependant on whether it's the whole show I'm rating or a single season, I'll put in a little info about the show/season and any notable guest stars and how they were intgrated into the plot.
In the final section, I'll talk about why exactly I like the show and how long I've been watching it for, how it's improved over time, or not etc.
You could also just jot down when it airs on TV and on what channel.
I'm not being rude, but from your post, you used the wrong form of 'there' (instead of their) and there were also some typos. The people on Ciao can get VERY snooty about spelling, grammar and typos and rate you harshly for mistakes (I have had this happen and had a very cutting comment from one lady who said I was wasting everyone's time - for a couple of typos!?!). Try typing your review in Word or something first, spell checking it and then pasting into the submission form.
If you want to, PM me your Ciao user name and I'll have a look at your review on there.I'm so sexy it's a wonder my underpants don't explode.0 -

As someone else has already said, the info they are looking for is the information which is personal experience based, rather than an explanation of what the programme is as if you are reading it from a TV suppliment. Its for consumers so think about what a consumer would want to know befoer they purchased, watched etc. What insider knowledge do you have now that you have watched it, can you start watching it half way through the series or is it one of those that has to be seen from the start? etc.
Have you had a look at other peoples reviews on there? If you read through a few then you will get the gist and general standard.0 -
I notice a large percentage of my ciao surveys arrive late friday night, to get accepted you have to check your e-mails on a regular basis. or you will find the survey over subscribed.many of time i have found a survey from ciao on saterday morrning only to find they have enough people in my paticular target group, this is very annoying as i always check my e-mail before i go to bed(some must arrive in the middle of the night)Child of a Fighting Race.0

Thank you for your help, (i didn't see the typo's) - I wrote another review of Jodie Marsh's Biograpghy. Put my thoughts of it, where it is available, how much etc and got some good feedbacks.
I didn't realise that people gave reviews of your reviews.
Also, on my account it says 'points until green' what does this mean?

There are levels of membership, dependant on your activity on the site e.g. if you rate a review, it's 2 points, comment on one it's 5 points and if you write a review it's more. It just shows other members how active you are in the community.I'm so sexy it's a wonder my underpants don't explode.0 -
reading this I am thinking I have not written a review for around 6 months and I am going to write on. I have 4 drafts saved from summertime last year and its time I did something with them!I always wanted to be a procrastinator, never got round to it...0

Ok back to subject. I do Ciao surveys and I have started to gain some monies. I was going to tranfer it to my bank account but then I noticed that the bank details site didn't have a padlock or no httpS on the address line.
It says that it is unable to show these things due to opening in a seperate window ( which I am sure it did not)
Anyone had their money transfered from Ciao?
I had that problem the other day. I am sure they are ok. But I very wary about giving banking/credit card details with out the old padlock being there.
I only have £13 in there at the moment.
Will leave it a while longer and see what happens.
Yours
