MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Ive used them for the past 4 or more years using my Tesco vouchers for a service & MOT.
In over 4 years i have never had to spend any money and my car has always passed , this is the Lincoln Tritton Road branch BTW , cant voucher for other branches tho.0 -
I just want to say thanks alot for this, i booked my car in for today the cost of the m.o.t was 27 pounds, there was something small that needed doing so in total the cost was 37.99 which is cheaper than what the m.o.t would have cost on it's own in the first place.
I booked it all online within 5 minutes and i am very happy with the service i received.:T

You can't, I asked this a couple of years ago when I was still stupid enough to think NA were OK. Was told 'no', it's a voucher OR it's Tesco Deals, not both together.
NA are a bunch of liars in the branch near me, I wouldn't go there if you paid me in Tesco vouchers! Steer clear everyone is my advice!
Basically, NA failed my car on a couple of small things (one of which was a windscreen wiper blade which was fairly new and had presented no problems for me - they charged something over £30 to replace it!).
They also tried to talk/bully me into other unnecessary stuff like replacing the battery which they said was 'too small' for my car. Little did they know it was fitted a couple of years before by an RAC employee friend who had explained the battery was small but easily powerful enough for my MPV. My car has never had the battery fail since it was fitted (4 years now) and I didn't let them replace it. If it ain't broke...
Finally they overcharged me for my combined MOT & Service. I didn't notice at first and paid by credit card, still smarting about the cost of the windscreen wiper. Then when I got my receipt I noticed the MOT & Service had cost about £12 more than was displayed on the big board behind them!
When I pointed this out they smiled patronisingly and said, 'oh that offer doesn't include your car's engine size, love...' But it did, and I pointed out the smaller print and - in my best patronising voice - told them my car's engine size (I think they thought I wouldn't know just because I was a soft touch re the windscreen wiper).
The final insult was when the guy said, 'oh we owe you £12 then, love - I'll take it off the bill when you bring your car in for the new battery...' 'Noooo you won't!' I retorted, and stood there until he refunded the £12. And they never apologised for the overcharge!
Never went back. Never will. Reported them when I got the usual courtesy phone call from NA and they said they would 'pass my comments on to the branch'.:pPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I hate them.
As coupon-mad above, the branch I went to are ***************** Just avoid, or at the least, if you want to use Tesco coupons, state that you do not want any work to be done on your car without your consent or you will refuse to pay.0 -
