Thanks to Quidco, I have a payment coming to me of £175 in January. I want to do something useful with this, rather than frittering it away.
Therefore, I was looking at my list of creditors: the two lowest are Link Financial (£415 will be outstanding in January, I pay them £55 per month) and Wescot (£920 will be outstanding in January, I pay them £50 per month). The £175 would represent 42% of the Link debt and 19% of the Wescot debt.
Now, is there any realistic chance of Wescot accepting the £175 as a F&F settlement? The original debt was at least £3,762 back in 2002. The original debt with Link was around £3,487 in 2002.
I would obviously prefer it if the £175 could save me £745 rather than £240, given that in both cases, it's likely that they bought the original debts for pennies in the pound, but how likely would Wescot be to accept this offer? If anyone has any experience of Wescot accepting F&F offers, please would you let me know how you got on?
Many thanks.
