I have two combi's, one by default!
Both are LG, and I have had absolutely no problems at all with them. I really just wanted to play both vids and dvd but was surprised that you can record from dvd to vhs. Handy! I got my first one 2 years ago from Comet clearance centre for about £110 but obviously prices have come down since then. I actually bought another one last May as a gift for someone and it cost £80 (also Comet, but not clearance centre). To cut a long story short, I ended up keeping it and using it myself (bedroom). Slightly different model but just as good. I'm very pleased. Price will probably be even lower now.

silly question, but can you record the other way....? VHS to DVD?
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)
  • No you need a dvd recorder to do that. I am not technical but recently bought a dvd recorder and video combi for £199 in John Lewis so as to transfer my kids on vhs onto dvd format
