More drivel from Allslop. It's almost comical.

It doesn’t matter if prices come down as long as people still buy and sell but they’re not doing that.
There was never a vast national benefit in house prices rocketing in the way they did.Things aren’t going to improve until someone does something to genuinely boost transaction levels and restore confidence in the market – not prices but confidence.
We need people like MPs to go out and buy property and say: “I am prepared to invest my money in a UK property because I believe it is a solid and sound long-term investment.
MPs now know property is the reverse of what you would like. It is a risky and long-term losing bet to buy at these price levels. Why buy now when prices will be considerably cheaper in the future. Reap it.0 -
Krusty Allcrap is an ignoramus of the highest order. How did this fool get on TV?
1). eye candy (to some, because tv doesn't 'do' plain people, these days).
2). having networked correctly in the world of 'meejah'; the novelty of a
minor aristo's daughter may well have proved irresistible to a pressured tv
exec.
I doubt if any consideration of her abilities (beyond presentation) or her VI was given by the contract-awarders 8yrs ago or since.
what level of impact progs such as LLL, HUTH, etc. actually have on the housing market is impossible to quantify. but, like the popular press, they can influence public opinion. (and before anyone posts back with 'how stupid do you think the brit. public are?'- IMO not stupid but easily led).
do I despise this woman? of course! but no more than the other presenters, who have spent the past 10yrs carving out little careers for themselves.
what a way to make a living.0 -
May 2008What I would like to see is prices going up, at a much slower rate, at a much manageable rate. One of the reasons that it looks like prices are coming down at the moment is because there is so few things on the market that the only things that are being sold are by people who have to discount in desperation.
This woman doesn't even understand how the market works.0 -
I don't post very often on here, but dervish is begining to !!!! me off with this pc nonsense about krustie, ok so some comments are a little over the top, but most concentrate about her total lack of knowledge in the area she's supposed to be an expert on, and therefore seem to be fair game.
If you don't like the comments, don't read them, or go and post on the Mary Whitehouse bulletin board0 -

This is not a very nice post. I think that Dervish does have a point, this forum is supposed to be for discussing house prices, not for personal attacks on individuals. If you want to criticize Kirstie then go for it, but do it in a courteous manner. In the same way, let's not tell each other to "shut up".
Rude and abusive posts simply reflect badly on us all as an online community. Let's not spoil this fantastic forum!
