Since Ive Found Out About This Site Its Been Like A Breath Of Fresh Air ,i Thought My Problems Were Bad But Reading About Some Other Peoples Problems Mine Seem Minor.anyway I Posted A Question On The Site And Got Some Good Advice About Iva's And Debt Management Programs And After Talking To The Cccs I Started Thinking Instead Of Paying Some Company £35 A Month To Handle My Case Why Dont I Phone My Loan Company Up And Try To Sort Out A Lower Monthly Payment , The Same Goes For My Credit Card Company.i Dont Know If It Will Work But Ive Got To Try. My Loan Was £16,000 + Intrest Over 5 Year And My Credit Card Is £3,600 ,ive Got A Couple Of Store Cards As Well £900 But Ive Got A Savings Scheme Due In March So That Will Pay Them Off. I Only Got In This Mess Because My Ex Girlfriend Was In Debt And I Helped Out Now She Is Not Paying Me Anything Back, I Had Some Debt On But I Was Coping With It. Finally The Past Few Months Have Been Hell But I Am Seeing A Way Out Now Thanks To This Site.

I can't agree more MSE is a brilliant site, good luck with calling your loan companies. Before you do -you've probably done this already make a list of all your out goings as they'll probably ask you for more details. Thanks to this site one morning I saved myself over £200 just by ringing up NTL, my household insurance people, my mobile phone company and changing my gas/electric. If you've not done that do it as every bit extra is a bit more to throw at debt.0

hi,i recently got involved with a debt management program that takes one monthly payment off me to distribute to my creditors.the thing is im thinking now that i should have gone to my creditors myself and maybe would have been able to come to an arrangement with them.i totally regret it now,i have constant phone calls and letters, from my bank and credit cards saying they are willing to help!but now its too late.does anyone know if there is a way to get out of this 'program'??????
