i wanna play wma files

my mate has made me a cd, and is making me some more with wma music files and mp3s (mostly wma files) on.
i can play mp3s so (stupidly) thought i could play wma files as well (cos i used to make cds in windows media and they played in everything.
turns out, all i can play is the mp3s- is there any cheap way of playing them (i.e a cheap cd player or dvd player?)

things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then

what software is your friend using to write the cds?
if he is using windows media, you can seleect an option to make it create mp3 files.
i had a similar problem with my daughters mp3 player, i copied files from a cd using windows media player, without realising all the files are type wma unless you change the option top mp3.
I am sure other software also has the same changeable optionssmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... :cool:0 -
he used windows media, but changed the bitrate. and i think it changes them to wma files?
