My mum is trying to get a petticoat with a bra built in. She has tried Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and Debenhams. Anyone any ideas. Thanks

I got excited thinking I could help because I had to buy a petticoat for my MIL last Christmas but alas, not one with a bra in. So I googled, and found http://www.bridal.petticoatdreams.co.uk - maybe you could email them and ask if they have any ideas: I doubt if this is quite what she had in mind but maybe? It's the very first one on the page, can't quite work out if it's got a bra in or not, and it doesn't look very long.
Other lingerie sites are http://www.figleaves.co.uk which has quite a lot of petticoats with cups, unclear how much support they'd give, and http://www.bravissimo.com - don't know if either of them could help? I know figleaves is well thought of for mail order.
(I'm glad I didn't find these sites when any of the chaps were at my shoulder! Eyeballs all over the screen!)Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Thanks for your help, but not really what mother wants. She is in her late 70s although she did agree some things were very nice.Waddle you do eh?0

Oh well, I tried. Thanks for your help, but not really what mother wants. She is in her late 70s although she did agree some things were very nice.
I suspect that the petticoat with built in bra has gone out of fashion because there is a far greater range of bra sizes and styles now than there ever used to be. Whereas one would have settled for something which neither flattened the bosoms nor left them swinging all over the place within a petti-bra, and pretty much the same with a 'normal' bra, we can now shop around until we get what we think is the 'perfect fit'.
Good luck in the hunt!Signature removed for peace of mind0
