Black and White Wedding theme?

Afternoon!

I really want a black and white wedding theme and wondered if anyone here has done the same? I'm thinking I might include a bit of purple too.

I have a DVD of a wedding where the bride had a black and white theme (the DVD is a videographer sample) and it looked stunning. Her bridesmaids all wore black dresses with creamy silk sashes.

We are going Black, Ivory and crimson.

I have a black and ivory dress so thought i'd add a nice bright colour seeing as its a spring wedding. Not planned much yet mind so may have to get a move on!!!!

One of my friends recently had a Black & White wedding. All the guests had to wear black & white too and the photos looked amazing!
They even had a black & white marbled wedding cake.
The only colour was a red fascinator in the brides hair which made her stand out and looked reeally dramatic. I have some pics somewhere - if youd like to see them let me know.

My SIL had a black and white wedding in June and the wedding photos are fab, the little bridesmaids wore white dressess with black sashes and the bigger bridedmaids wore black with white sashes. The men wore black white and silver ties. Black/white/silver favours aswell. Go for it my sil was a bit unsure but the wedding was the best one ive ever been to it was a truly wonderfull day.

I went to a black and white wedding recently and it looked great. The bridesmaids had gorgeous black dresses, the flowers were white with black feathers. Favours were heart shaped biscuits with a white heart iced onto them, wrapped in cellophane with a black ribbon. The table decorations were a kind of black basket vase with white flowers and tealights.

I must admit I wondered if it would work but that's down to me not being a huge fan of black (am I the only woman without a LBD?!!) but it looked stunning.

black and white is beautiful, and if you team it with a really deep purple it would be amazing. i have seen some gorgeous black and white cakes, and you can guarantee that this colour scheme will make venue decoration look amazingly sophisticated and classy

The bride's new surname is Divine and she is the one featured in the DVD and on the above site. She used bars of Divine chocolate in dark and white as her wedding favours.
