Defaults on my credit file

HI guys, sorry but I had 2 defaults on my credit file 1 from Monument/Barclaycard and 1 from HFO Services Ltd. I raised this with Equifax via their online system and advised them that I had in fact settled this debt and had proof of this. (in fact it transpired I had sent them payment and they had confirmed receipt but had never cashed my cheque!!) anyway Monument/Barclaycard agreed for this default to be deleted. Now the problem is that the original debt and default was from Monument and then they sold this onto HFO who then defaulted me. I now need to contact Monument/Barclaycard and get them to send me a letter confirming my account is settled and should not have been sold onto HFO and then send this to HFO for them to remove it from my file.
Can anyone advise the best way to do this and does anyone have contact details for Barclaycard/Monument?
Thanks.
