littlewoods dining table....

Littlewoods direct have a dining set for £32.22
I couldnt buy online as it said it was not available and the 'round' and 'rectangle' options came up as £103.

I called and queried and was told it was a glitch an that i could order the dining set, 4 chairs and table for £32.22. I was delighted as we have just bought a house and are feeling the ping with very little furniture!

I bought this and got an email saying that it was 1 pair of chairs. I called up to again verify it was a table and 4 chairs and was told it was indeed the

whole set and was a mis print.

Today.....a pair of chairs turned up. After half an hour on the phone no one can help me, i have to return these chairs, they re ordered it at £32.22 and i have to 'hope' its the table and chairs and the courier made a mistake.

Where do i stand with this?! Sorry if in the wrong forum but im at a loss as to where it goes!! Posted here and somewhere else....not sure where it belongs and have looked and couldnt see a suitable forum. The grabbit isnt the right place either but youre all clued up and if it is right its a grabbit!!

Not much help but the link does show a table and chair set "from £32.22".

So maybe the chairs are £32.22 a pair now and the tables are still £103.00 as per the website.

You can always send it back.

I did think that originally so called them to see specifically what it was and was told it was the table and chairs at £32.22, the £103.00 was a mistake as if you look there is nothing there for £32.22.....which was why i rang them ....wouldnt be upset if i just chanced it, id say fair enough LOL....but i called and was explicitly told they were a table and chairs set. Thats why im wondering where i stand, do i have to settle for 2 chairs/return them and forget it, or am i entitled to ask for what i bought...? Im so clueless, i just thought wow what a bargain when i was on the phone...doh!

I thought that, however there is nothing there for £32.22...there was no 'chairs' 'table'....it was a choice of circular dining set or rectangular and i phoned and ordered a circular dining set - table and 4 chairs.

Im awaiting return calls from the manager and marketing guy as im really narked about it now as i just like resolution, i wouldnt be so huffed if i hadnt called and confirmed this price was for the whole dining set, if id called and they laughed and said not on your nelly its a mistake id have no issue, but as you say, i dont record telephone calls so its inevitable ill end up returning the goods and demanding postage cost refunded as its their mistake, ill be lucky, and happy to get that back!

  • It does look a little misleading I must admit although it does state from £32.22

I can only get the rectangle and circular for £103 and chrome doesn't seem to appear

The trouble is what do they mean from £32.22?

They could have made a little more effort to make it clear. I think the only thing you can do is ask them that you collect it as you were given to understand it was a whole set, you still have the distance selling regulations in your favour if you haven't used the chairs

PS love Ottery St Mary, Devon Had some holidays down there in Dunkerswell near there and Honiton, I got stung on a bee in that granary in Ottery St Mary, Devon. I would love to go back but money is tight

Looking at the link it seems the £32.22 is for the 'chrome' option although it doesn't give any info on what that actually is.
